I’m Aquanna

I am a wife and mama, personally and by profession I have about 12 years of work experience as a Registered Nurse. I am also a lactation specialist and birth and postpartum doula in Jacksonville, FL who wants to support you. I fell in love with the birth world when I was 18 years old and since then I’ve been aspiring to make maternal health my home. It was during my Labor & Delivery clinical rotation at the University of Tampa that my curiosity became an instant passion. My nursing career has taken me on an incredible journey and lead me back to my true love and calling: the world of birth. I have had the beautiful pleasure of becoming a mother to my two daughters, whose births were each uniquely different. The birth of my most recent daughter, Jordan, occurred at home inside a birth pool in my living room. My birth team was specifically chosen to ensure safety and compassion navigating this space that was familiar, yet so unfamiliar to my husband and I. After I had my first daughter, Ryan, and being met with some unfortunate challenges with her birth and time spent with my amazing doula, Ali, I decided it was time to make a change in my career and serve people like me who wanted support, autonomy and respect during this sacred life event.
